The Motorola CM140 is a basic 8 channel 25W analogue mobile radio mostly seen in VHF (136 - 174MHz) or UHF (403 - 470MHz) bands.
These will do most of the important things you'd want from an analogue radio such as CTCSS etc. If all you want is to monitor a couple of local repeaters or have a rig to perform RoIP / data / beacon duties, these will do just fine.
The main disadvantages with these is that the display only shows channel number, so you have to remember what you programmed each channel to do.
These radios are discontinued (no longer manufactured).
