The Motorola GP340 is a basic 4 or 16 channel analogue portable radio mostly seen in 5W VHF (136 - 174MHz) or 4W UHF (403 - 470MHz) bands.
These will do most of the important things you'd want from an analogue radio such as CTCSS etc. If all you want is to monitor a couple of local repeaters, these will do just fine.
The main disadvantage with these is that there is no display, just channel numbers,so you have to remember what you programmed each channel to do.
These radios are discontinued (no longer manufactured).
