Radio Consultancy

I am a multi-discipline engineer who has spent the last 10 years with two-way radio dealers providing technical services and solving problems. 

What I can do:

• Install, repairs, maintenance, firmware updates, calibration and evaluation of battery capacities.

• Fittment of mobile radios to vehicles, including cable selection, fusing and antenna tuning.

• Programming of radios and repeaters from Motorola, Hytera, Icom, Vertex Standard, Kenwood and Entel.

• Site survey, including radio coverage assesment.

• Production of risk assesments and method statements.

• Design and manufacture of electronic devices.

• Management of all aspects of the product life cycle, from initial manufacture to customer delivery and beyond. 

• Comfortable with concept design, schematic and PCB layout, 3D modelling and surface-mount soldering / re-work. 

How I do it:

Liaise with you, the client, to understand your problems, advise a solution and make that solution a reality.

Attend client site if required to investigate issues with existing equipment and perform site survey to provide more detailed reports. 

Assemble quotes with supporting documentation such as system block diagrams and Longley-Rice coverage prediction maps to justify pricing and build confidence.
